Playing at the Pumpkin Patch

Our first family tradition was a trip to Berry Patch Farms in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday, October 6th. Raeghan was 4 weeks and 1 day old...the day before her 1 month old 'birthday'. We took a hay ride, saw some baby farm animals, had homemade ice cream (well Mom & Dad did...Raeghan did, it was just in another form!;), and picked out some gourds and our pumpkin from the patch. It was such a beautiful day and we had a great time! We even stopped to see "Uncle" Jonathan & "Aunt" Jenny Brockman at their house on the way home.

Unfortunately, later that night...Raeghan was spitting up everything she ate so we made a trip to Kennestone's ER. After 4+ hours we still hadn't seen a doctor, so we headed home (since Raeghan had fallen asleep and her vitals were ok!) for some rest and went to Scottish Rite the next day. Turns out, our poor little girl had a bad case of acid reflux and is now on 2 antibiotics at only 5 weeks old...poor little thing!! Plus, she ended up spending her first 'birthday' in two hospitals. Don't worry Raeghan, Mommy will make it up to you with really cool parties on your next birthday(s)!! ;)
